Affiliate Disclosure
WarfighterForged LLC is committed to transparency. This page explains how the Site makes money, how we keep that money away from our recommendations, and how we tell you when a link, product, or post involves a business relationship.
Affiliate Links
Some links on warfighterforged.com are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. You pay nothing extra. The commission comes out of the retailer's marketing budget, and it helps keep the Site's drills, tools, and guides free.
Affiliate programs we participate in:
- Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate, WarfighterForged earns from qualifying purchases.
- AvantLink, an affiliate network that runs programs for outdoor and tactical brands. Through it we may join individual brand programs (for example, packs, boots, socks, and field gear makers) as each brand approves us.
- Other networks or direct brand programs we may join in the future, such as CJ Affiliate. This page will be updated as we add them.
Zero Paid Rankings
What that means in practice:
- Merit first. If a product with no affiliate link is the better pick, we recommend it anyway and link straight to the maker. Our plate carrier verdicts, for example, carry no affiliate links at all.
- We say when something falls short. Reviews and "best of" guides name downsides and products we'd skip, not just the winners.
- We tell you when we earn nothing. Where a section has no paid links, we say so.
- Commission rates don't change recommendations. We don't swap a product for one that pays more.
How We Mark Paid Links
Pages with affiliate links carry a disclosure next to the links it covers, before you click, along with a link back to this page. Affiliate links are tagged in the code as sponsored, as search engines require.
Free Gear, Sponsorships, and Brand Partnerships
We may receive free or discounted products to test, join brand ambassador or creator programs, or work with brands on sponsored content. When we do:
- Any article, email, or video that features a free product will say so.
- Sponsored content will be clearly labeled "Sponsored" or "Paid partnership."
- Receiving a product never guarantees a positive review, and sponsors never get approval over what we write.
- Sponsorships never change rankings in our gear guides.
Social Media
The same rules apply on our TikTok and Instagram (@warfighterforged). Posts that include affiliate links, free products, or paid partnerships are marked with #ad, #affiliate, or the platform's paid-partnership label.
Other Ways the Site Makes Money
- Our own products. The Forged Program, a personalized 12-week training plan, is sold through Gumroad. When we recommend it, we're recommending our own product.
- Sponsorships, labeled as described above.
We don't currently run display ads. If that changes, we'll update this page.
FTC Compliance
This disclosure follows the Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). Disclosures are placed where readers will see them, close to the links, products, and claims they relate to.
